About Me

When I was about 8 years old, my first camera “cost” me about 120 Bazooka Joe bubblegum wrappers.

I use the term “cost” loosely as I stole most of the gum I needed to get that many wrappers. I LOVED that camera (Babette) and I took pictures of EVERYTHING!

Our family summer vacation that year was a road trip from Winnipeg, MB to Kelowna, BC and one HOT summer day, I left my little plastic camera on the dashboard of our car only to find it the next day, melted into a blob .

As soon as we returned home I started collecting gum wrappers again and ordered a replacement camera. I think I sent them my entire 50 cents allowance that time so that I only had to collect about 20 wrappers.

Luckily, as the years went by my interest in photography grew while my penchant for shoplifting fell by the wayside.

I’m now retired and enjoying life in Canada and Mexico, travelling the world a little bit and spending a lot of time with my photography. I’ve upgraded my camera equipment since Babette and now have a lot more stuff to carry around. I’ve been shooting wildlife, architecture, team photographer for a couple of years for an elite girls hockey team, various artsy-fartsy stuff, your basic run of the mill touristy shots, and even a wedding and some portraits.

I’ve also had a keen interest in website creation for several years now, mainly as a platform for displaying and sharing my photography and now, to also create websites for others.
